LAS VEGAS (AP) — Officials say a weekend fire that caused shoppers to flee a Walmart store in Las Vegas was intentionally set.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue said one injured person was taken to a hospital after sprinklers activated and firefighters arrived to douse flames in the paper towel aisle Sunday evening at the store several miles west of downtown.
Fire officials on Monday estimated structural damage at about $10,000 but said water and smoke damage to items in the store was about $200,000. No information was immediately made public about possible suspects in the arson investigation.
