Man Found Dead After Gunfire Exchange With Las Vegas Police

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say they shot and killed a man on Tuesday who exchanged gunfire with them after he barricaded himself in a flaming apartment building.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says that when officers arrived to respond to a domestic disturbance call, a suspect from inside an apartment building shot at law enforcement.

The suspect was found dead after another exchange of gunfire, and a fire began inside the apartment.

The man has not yet been identified, and it is unclear how he died. Las Vegas police say they will name the officers who shot at the suspect and release more details about the exchange of gunfire later this week.
