Clark County Commission Approves Tunnel Transportation Plan

The Clark County Commission has approved construction of an underground transit system connecting the Las Vegas Convention Center and Resorts World, which is under construction on the Strip.

The agreement allows the Boring Company to build and operate the system as the first big step in what the company calls the Las Vegas Loop.

The loop would connect spots along the Strip and downtown Las Vegas through a system using self-driving electric vehicles moving through tunnels, something that hasn’t been tried before. 

The project began with tunnels running between halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center. That is still under construction
