Sen. Cortez Masto, Rep. Amodei Among Nevada Leaders Condeming Pro-Trump Extremists

Nevada's political leaders have condemned Wednesday’s storming of the U.S. Capitol building.

Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto, D-NV., who spoke on the Senate floor as Congress reconvened following the violence, said the actions were “absolutely unacceptable” and that President Donald Trump’s dangerous rhetoric that inspired the events endangers the very foundation of our democracy.

Rep. Mark Amodei, R-NV., said that history was being made for all the wrong reasons and that the events were “shameful.”

Meanwhile, supporters of President Trump on Wednesday lined the streets outside Nevada’s state capital and rallied in front of federal buildings in Las Vegas.
