Nevada Electors Award Six Electoral College Votes To Biden

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada has awarded its Electoral College votes to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

The state's six Democratic presidential electors cast their votes on Monday over Zoom in a ceremony that took less than 20 minutes. Biden defeated Trump by 33,596 votes in Nevada.

But the state's slow vote-counting pace and a result that appeared tight on Election Night vaulted the western battleground into the national spotlight. Republicans have unsuccessfully challenged the result in multiple lawsuits in state and federal court.

The party's slate of electors re-enacted the Electoral College ceremony in Carson City later in the day and symbolically cast votes for Donald Trump.
