Also on Tuesday, The Nevada Supreme Court has denied an appeal by President Trump’s campaign to stop the way Clark County verifies and counts mail-in ballots.

The campaign unsuccessfully argued that the process prevented “meaningful” observation of how the ballots’ signatures are checked and then tabulated.

The president’s campaign and the Nevada Republican Party have sued the state and Clark County multiple times due to its objections against Nevada’s mail-in ballot system, but have yet to obtain a stay or injunction in court.

Before the polls opened, more than 1.1 million votes had been cast in the election in Nevada.

The state has not backed a Republican presidential candidate since 2004.

Four years ago, President Donald Trump fell just shy of winning Nevada and its six electoral college votes.
