Nevada Surpasses 40,000 Cases Of Coronavirus

Nevada surpassed 40,000 cases of coronavirus on Friday.

The state reported 966 new cases and 13 new deaths. So far, 722 people in Nevada have died from COVID-19.

The state also set a new record in hospitalizations with 1,160 people in the hospital. The total includes both suspected and confirmed cases.

Besides cases and hospitalizations, the state reported an uptick in the test positivity rate, which is the number of confirmed cases divided by the number of people who were tested. The test positivity now stands at 9.7 percent.
