No Votes Yet In "As Long As It Takes" Nevada Budget Session

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada lawmakers have not yet voted on any budget proposals in the Legislature's emergency special session, which began on Wednesday.

Republican and Democratic lawmakers spent most of the first days of the session asking for more information on proposed cuts to health care and education.

The bills introduced thus far in both chambers have not included tax increases, but leaders of the Democrat-controlled Legislature said they were in discussions with their Republican counterparts over workable revenue proposals.
