The Nevada Department of Transportation starts construction next week on a $5.9 million, two-mile-long upgrade of Jones Boulevard from Upland Boulevard just south of U.S. Highway 95 to Smoke Ranch Road.
Plans call for a complete roadway rejuvenation, as well as handicap accessible curb and gutter upgrades at pedestrian-activated crosswalks.
Construction will start Monday, July 6, with crews working from 6 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project is anticipated to finish in January 2021.
Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor.
