State Returns Borrowed Ventilators To California

Nevada hospitals have returned 50 ventilators California gave the state on loan to treat coronavirus patients.

Governor Steve Sisolak issued a letter announcing the move and thanking California Governor Gavin Newsom. Sisolak told the Las Vegas Sun officials “are not hunting for ventilators right now” and he hopes the state will “never have to hunt for ventilators again.”

State officials were prepared to deal with hospitals pushing capacity, but a leveling off of cases kept hospitals from hitting a surge threshold.
