Triple-Digit Highs Prompt Heat Warning For Las Vegas

Forecasters are warning Las Vegas residents to be careful venturing outside as the area is expected to see triple-digit temperatures.

The National Weather Service has extended an excessive heat warning for the Southwest this week with temps as much as 15 degrees above normal.

Meteorologist Trevor Boucher tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that people tired of being under coronavirus-driven quarantine may want to go hiking despite the unseasonable heat.

Las Vegas is anticipating a high of 102 degrees on Wednesday, which would be the first 100-degree day in Las Vegas for the month of April.
