St. Rose Dominican’s Siena in Henderson and Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas are joining a study looking at the effectiveness of treating COVID-19 patients with plasma from people who have recovered from the virus.
The goal is to see if antibodies in the donated plasma will fight the coronavirus in people who are sick.
The hospitals are teaming with the Red Cross, which is looking for plasma donations from people who have recovered from the coronavirus disease, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
