Zion National Park Closes Over Coronavirus Concerns

Zion National Park in Utah is the latest national park to lock its gates to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Local leaders had called for the closure, and Utah Governor Gary Herbert said Friday he consulted with the Interior Department to make the decision.

The closure comes just after Grand Canyon National Park closed amid local pressure. The two parks join a growing list of the country’s most popular national sites that have closed.
