Coronavirus Deaths Hit 38 In Nevada, More Than 1,400 Cases

Updated 1:34 p.m.

Thirty-eight people in Nevada have died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

The total number of cases stands at 1,458. Clark County accounted for 1,125 of those cases.

On Wednesday, the Southern Nevada Health District announced one of its employees has tested positive for the disease. The district said the employee had some interaction with patients in a clinical setting and those patients are being notified about potential exposure.

Gov. Steve Sisolak extended the stay at home order through April 30 in an effort to slow the spread of the disease.
