Nevada can expect more than 800 deaths from COVID-19, even with social distancing.
That’s according to the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. The institute, which tracks global health trends, forecasts more than 80,000 deaths nationally by August 1.
Of those, 801 are projected for Nevada, with almost all of them coming in April.
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services says it has confirmed 420 positive cases of coronavirus statewide, including 10 deaths.
