Las Vegas police say an armed suspect was surrounded by officers but refused to surrender following a bank robbery and a shooting involving police near a busy crossroads on the city's west side.
Capt. Steve Connell says one person was wounded at the bank before officers arrived about 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, and an officer fired at least one shot during a foot chase of the suspect.
The person wounded at the bank was hospitalized in stable condition. The suspect was surrounded in an outdoor area at a business complex where police tried to convince him to surrender.
