LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a woman was struck by gunfire while driving before her vehicle crashed into a concrete wall on the eastern outskirts of Las Vegas.
A news release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says the wounded woman was pronounced dead after the car wreck Monday in the pre-dawn hours. The car traveled about a quarter-mile from the shooting scene before it hit the wall.
Questions about the woman's identity were referred to the Clark County Coroner's Office. That office had not immediate information.
A police investigation is ongoing.
