Las Vegas political advisor and coin dealer Phil Carlino has died.
The Las Vegas Sun reports the Las Vegas Coin Club announced Carlino’s death on Wednesday.
Carlino and his wife, Florence, opened their first Fremont Coins store in 1963.
They would eventually expand to seven locations.
Carlino was also known as a political kingmaker, spending years in leadership roles on the Democratic State Central Committee in the 1960s and ‘70s.
