A former Tesla Gigafactory worker is alleging wrongdoing at the company’s Nevada factory.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that in a lawsuit filed last week in Washoe County District Court, Lynn Thompson alleges he was fired for reporting theft at the factory that produces batteries and drive trains for Tesla vehicles.
In an interview with the Gazette-Journal, Thompson said materials theft was rampant at the factory, especially copper wire.
Tesla did not respond to requests for comment.
According to the complaint, Thompson signed an agreement on March 22, 2018, with contractor ONQ Global to work night shifts at the Reno-area Gigafactory as an electrical superintendent.
