The Southern Nevada Health District is warning that pregnant women have a higher risk of being hospitalized if they get the flu.
A recent report from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention shows that only 54 percent of pregnant women surveyed last year got the flu vaccine.
JoAnn Rupiper, the Chief Administrative Nurse for SNHD, told KSNV TV that pregnant women are more likely to get complications from the flu which makes it important that they get that vaccine.
