Jan Jones Blackhurst Resigning From Caesars Executive Job, Taking Board Seat

Former Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones Blackhurst is bowing out as Caesars Entertainment’s Executive Vice President of Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility and taking a seat on the company’s board of directors.

The company posted a regulatory filing Friday announcing the change. Jones Blackhurst’s resignation is effective October 1.

She’s replacing Richard Schifter, who stepped down from the board Thursday. Caesars did not give a reason for the departure, but affirmed “there were no disagreements between Mr. Schifter and the company that caused or contributed to his decision.”
