Fox News Apologizes To Nevada Man Accused Of Having A Gun At Trump Rally

A Reno man has received an apology from Fox News after he was falsely accused of having a gun at a 2016 Donald Trump campaign rally.

Then-candidate Trump called Austyn Crites a Democratic plant at the event. Crites held a “Republicans Against Trump” sign and was forcibly removed from the rally by security when someone in the crowd said he had a gun.

The Secret Service confirmed Crites did not have a gun after releasing him, but by then, he had already come under fire from conservative media outlets, including Fox News, as an attempted assassin.
