With the Memorial Day weekend almost here, the Nevada Highway Patrol says it will increase enforcement on state highways.
The California Highway Patrol will also have additional officers on Interstate 15 south of the state line.
An NHP spokesman said they will be watching for violations including speeding, impairment, distraction, hazardous moving violations, and seatbelts.
According to Triple-A, Las Vegas will be the nation's third most popular destination for the Memorial Day holiday weekend, and visitors returning to California at the end of the weekend are expected to encounter backups of up to twenty miles.
