Monday’s afternoon storms totaled a quarter-inch of rain at McCarran International Airport, setting a new record for the date, according to the National Weather Service.
Floyd Lamb Park recorded the highest valley rainfall at 1.3 inches. Other areas of the west valley saw about a half-inch.
Portions of the southwest valley saw hail that measured a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch.
