Referees From Knights-Sharks Game 7 Are Not Moving On In Playoffs

The Golden Knights aren’t moving on in the Stanley Cup playoffs, but neither are two of the referees who officiated the team's last game against San Jose.

Eric Furlatt and Dan O’Halloran were on the ice when Sharks captain Joe Pavelski sustained a head injury.

The two called for a five-minute major penalty against Golden Knights forward Cody Eakin for cross-checking. During the penalty, the Sharks scored four goals in four minutes to pull ahead of the Knights.

The Knights tied it up but eventually lost in overtime.

Vegas fans and team members dispute the validity of the call, claiming it cost them the first-round series.
