Family Of Woman Killed In Plane Crash Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit

The parents of an Instagram model who was killed in a plane crash last April have filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Las Vegas.

Mariah Sunshine Coogan was among six people killed in the crash that occurred in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2018.

The plane was headed for the North Las Vegas Airport.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the lawsuit alleges a student pilot from Las Vegas and a pilot trainer violated federal aviation regulations and operated the plane in a careless manner.

The student pilot had cocaine in his system, according to a report from the Maricopa County Medical examiner.

A National Transportation Safety Board preliminary accident report does not list a cause of the crash.

How is Las Vegas' healthcare system really doing, and what does it mean for you and your family? Desert Companion's Health Issue takes a deep dive into these questions and explores how heart-centered business leaders prove that doing good benefits the bottom line.
