Hard Freeze Warning For Southern Nevada

The new year is starting on a cool note in Southern Nevada. A hard-freeze warning has been issued for the Las Vegas Valley and southern Clark County beginning at 10 Tuesday night and lasting through 8 a.m. Wednesday. Temperatures could be below freezing for many hours.

The National Weather Service forecasts lows in the upper 20s for Las Vegas, but some areas along the edges could see lows in the upper teens to lower 20s. Southern Clark County and the Pahrump Valley could have lows in the mid-teens to mid-20s.

Pets, potted plants, and of course people should be indoors overnight. Outdoor faucets should be allowed to drip to prevent pipes from freezing.
