U.S. Senator-elect Jacky Rosen has chosen former Nevada Assemblyman Nelson Araujo to become her state director.
The Democrat was elected to the Nevada Assembly twice, then lost his run for Secretary of State to Republican incumbent Barbara Cegavske.
Araujo was the only statewide Democratic candidate to lose in 2018.
As state director, Araujo will manage the senator’s office operations.
