Bundy Says He Is No Longer Involved With Militia Movement

Ammon Bundy, who helped lead armed standoffs at the Bundy ranch in Bunkerville and at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon, has repudiated supporters of his and has said he is no longer involved with the so-called "militia movement" that seeks to take up arms against the federal government.

In an interview with BuzzFeed News, Bundy said he empathized with people seeking to enter the United States through the Central American migrant caravan and thought they had a right to seek asylum in the United States.

He also said President Donald Trump focuses more on nationalistic policy rather than individual freedom, a policy with which Bundy disagrees.

Bundy went on to criticize die-hard supporters of President Trump, who he said were unable to speak out against the president if they thought he was doing something wrong.

He compared the situation to Hitler's rise of power in 1930s Germany.
