Giuliani Stumps For GOP's Tarkanian In Las Vegas

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is the latest big name helping boost Nevada Republicans in the battleground western state.

Giuliani planned an appearance late Saturday afternoon at the Las Vegas field office of GOP congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian.

Tarkanian is in a tight race with Democrat Susie Lee in the 3rd District, where incumbent Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen is trying to unseat GOP Sen. Dean Heller.

Lee hosted a health care round-table Saturday with former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley at a Las Vegas diner.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak plans to appear in Reno Sunday at a coffee shop with Mayor Hillary Schieve, followed by a luncheon with O'Malley in Sparks and an appearance at Washoe County Democratic headquarters.

He's running against Republican Adam Laxalt to replace the popular outgoing GOP Gov. Brian Sandoval.
