Students in the Washoe County School District are gearing up for another round of protests against gun violence.
At least eight schools in the Reno-Sparks area have registered events for Friday’s National School Walkout. It’s part of a national protest targeting congressional, state and local failures to take action to prevent gun violence.
The first was on March 14, when thousands of students across the state joined national efforts to fight gun violence in the wake of the Parkland Florida school shooting.
This Friday is the 19 th anniversary of the Columbine High School Shooting in Colorado.
