For a week now, south Reno has been experiencing a swarm of small earthquakes.
Detection instruments in the area have picked up more than 230 small temblors since last Thursday.
The largest in the swarm so far had a magnitude of 2.7, which one seismologist described as pretty small.
While earthquakes in Northern Nevada are fairly common, experts believe earthquake swarms of small quakes can sometimes act as a warning system for larger events to come.
