Lawmakers Boost New Year's Eve Security Funding

This week Nevada lawmakers approved a record amount of funding for New Year’s Eve security in Las Vegas.

Nearly $357,000 will be used to support 358 Nevada National Guard troops stationed around the valley.

The boost Thursday came in the wake of the October 1 mass shooting and is more than three times the amount of state funding approved for New Year’s Eve security last year.
