The investigation into Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock’s brain will begin this week at Stanford University.
The process is expected to take at least two weeks when results from the autopsy will go back to the Clark County coroner to issue a report.
Experts have suggested that its unlikely the autopsy alone will reveal any clues as to why Paddock unleashed gunfire on the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports a thorough investigation could take up to two months.
Crime scene photos show Paddock with a gunshot wound to the head, and it is possible that will reduce the likelihood of obtaining any information.
