Reno Lawyer Offers Services If City Moves Ahead With Opioid Lawsuit

A Reno attorney is offering his services if the city goes ahead with plans to sue opioid manufacturers.

In a letter to Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, lawyer Bill Bradley says his firm would work in partnership with a Las Vegas law firm to handle the litigation.

The mayor has already met with Las Vegas lawyer Peter Wetherall, who is also vying to handle any such lawsuit that arises. Wetherall says he would also team up with a larger firm.

The city and mayor Schieve are considering a lawsuit to recoup the cost of addressing the city's opioid addiction crisis.
