A new poll in Arizona shows that voters in the state are not likely to legalize the recreational use of marijuana anytime soon.
The poll found that of those likely to vote in next year’s election, only 35 percent said they would support a measure for the personal use of the drug. Forty-eight percent of the poll’s 600 respondents, however, said they were opposed.
Proposition 205 was a legalization measure on the 2016 ballot and it failed by just three percentage points.

Officials with OH Predictive Strategies said the result is not a surprise, as the automated survey calls went only those with a landline phone, which skews the results a bit toward older voters who are more conservative.
