'Big Squeeze' Traffic Restriction Ending Early

Drivers in downtown Las Vegas will have something to be thankful for next week, as the latest construction holdup is ending sooner than expected.

Lane restrictions along U.S. Highway 95 known as the “Big Squeeze” will end nearly two months early, causing some welcome relief near Thanksgiving.

Southbound U.S. 95 will be restored to three lanes between I-15 and Rancho Drive on Sunday, while northbound will return to normal on Wednesday.

The work falls under the larger Project Neon, which is a $1 billion effort to redesign and add traffic lanes near the Spaghetti Bowl by fall 2019.
