The Las Vegas Lights FC soccer team has landed a head coach to lead them into their first season.
José Luis Sánchez Solá, commonly referred to as “Chelís,” has been signed to a multiyear deal – as the team prepares for their 2018 season at Cashman Field.
The 58-year-old Chelís will become the first coach to be in charge of teams in the first and second divisions of soccer - both in the United States and Mexico.

He’ll join the Las Vegas expansion team while also finishing out his contract with a daily soccer show on ESPN.
Chelís will be formally introduced at a press conference Tuesday afternoon in downtown Las Vegas.
