Regulations To Address Golf Course Development In Las Vegas

Officials with the city of Las Vegas are trying to draft regulations pertaining to the development of golf courses and parks.

The move comes as a way to curb some of the uncertainty involved when developers buy golf courses, after highly contentious debates have surrounded plans to develop the Badlands and Silverstone golf courses.

Planning Manager Robert Summerfield told the Las Vegas Review Journal that a new policy would apply to 23 master development plans in the city.

As of right now, the regulations are still in the works, with stakeholders holding brainstorming sessions this week that have focused on public engagement.
