Man Wrongfully Convicted Of Murder Gets Full Pardon

Nevada's Board of Pardons Commissioners has issued a pardon to Fred Steese, a man imprisoned for 21 years for a murder he did not commit.

An investigation from ProPublica and Vanity Fair brought Steese's case to national attention earlier this year.

Steese was found guilty of a 1992 murder of a performer at Circus Circus, even though he wasn't in Nevada at the time of the killing.

In order to grant full and unconditional pardons, a vote must get a majority of the pardons commissioners as well as the governor's support.

Gov. Sandoval and all members of the board, except Attorney General Adam Laxalt, voted in favor of granting the pardon.
