A conservative watchdog group has asked the Office of Congressional Ethics to look into Nevada Democratic Rep. Ruben Kihuen’s campaign.
The letter was sent by the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, and questions whether Kihuen inappropriately solicited campaign donations.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the complaint says Kihuen’s re-election campaign violated the House ethics rules by sending a fundraising email that touted his support for current legislation and also used congressional resources for political fundraising.
The allegations come about three weeks after the Nevada Democratic Party levied similar complaints against Republican U.S. Senator Dean Heller.
