The Las Vegas Monorail may soon be expanding.
The monorail company is scheduled to appear before county commissioners next week to request the land use permits to add stops to its route.
The stops would include a 1-mile extension south from MGM Grand to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay resorts.
The urgency for the project was renewed after transportation concerns have come up regarding the NFL stadium that will begin being constructed November 13 at the site south of the strip at Russell Road.
