High-End Wine Thief Steals 55 Bottles From Lake Tahoe Store

INCLINE VILLAGE — Authorities at Lake Tahoe are looking for a man who made off with an estimated $15,000 worth of expensive wine from a grocery store in Incline Village.

The Washoe County Sheriff's office says the white male suspect stole 55 bottles of high-end red wine from the Raley's Supermarket just before 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23.

Surveillance video released on Wednesday shows the man wearing flip-flops with a jacket vest and a scarf around his neck with several bottles of wine in a shopping cart.

The loot included two dozen bottles valued at more than $150 each and one bottle of Joseph Phelps 2012 Insignia red wine worth $240.
