The ACLU of Nevada has filed a petition to stop an execution scheduled to be carried out this month.
The concerns originate with the drug cocktail that the Department of Corrections will use – because it’s a combo that has never been used in any execution in the country.
The ACLU launched an online petition last week, asking residents to help stop the experimental execution. If carried out, it would be the first execution carried out since 2006 in Nevada.
