The Reno Fire Department responded to five separate fire starts on northbound U.S. 395 Tuesday afternoon.
Dispatch started to receive the calls just before noon. One lane of the freeway was shut down but quickly reopened after crews were able to quickly douse the flames.
The cause of the fires was unknown at this time.
