Operations have been suspended at the Marigold Mine in Valmy, which is just west of Elko after two employees of SSR Mining died at the mine Tuesday.
According to SSR officials, a light vehicle and a haul truck collided within the open pit operations at the mine.
The president of the Vancouver-based company says they are deeply saddened by the loss of their colleagues.
The accident will be investigated by the federal Mine Safety and Health Administration.
