Titus Introduces Bill To Create Public Option For Health Care

Nevada Representative Dina Titus co-sponsored legislation Wednesday to give states the ability to allow residents to buy into Medicaid programs on state exchanges.

Titled the Medicaid Public Option Act, its similar to legislation that was introduced in the Nevada assembly this year by Assemblyman Mike Sprinkle.

It would give states the option to allow all state residents to buy into the state Medicaid program.

The states could charge premiums, copays, and deductibles for the plans based on current Affordable Care Act standards.
