Washoe Co. School District Committee Approves Bond For New School Construction
The Washoe County School District’s capital funding protection committee approved a bond to build three new schools.
The committee approved the $200 million bond in a 9-to-1 vote Thursday evening.
According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, the committee members were concerned about the cost of constructing the new elementary school and two middle schools, but ultimately approved the bond.
The board of trustees must give final approval for the spending.
