Nevada Highway Patrol: Passenger Stabs Greyhound Bus Driver

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol says an unruly passenger stabbed a Greyhound bus driver along Interstate 15 about 24 miles from the California line.

Trooper Jason Buratczuk says the stabbing occurred Friday night outside the bus after the driver pulled over while trying to get the passenger to either get or sit down in his seat.

According to Buratczuk, the wounded driver got back on the bus, shut the door and reported being stabbed to a Greyhound dispatcher.

Buratczuk says the driver's injuries were serious but not life-threatening injuries.

He says 31-year-old Armando Juarez was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to a hospital for evaluation after he ran across traffic lanes and attempted to punch passing vehicles.

A replacement driver drove the bus to Las Vegas.
