Reno Mayor Urges Pres. Trump To Take Strong Stand Against Racism

Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve is asking President Trump to "deliver a strong message rejecting racism" when he visits this week.

President Donald Trump is scheduled to appear Wednesday at a convention in Reno for the American Legion. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports in a statement, Schieve said she’s reaching out to other leaders in the area in the wake of controversial comments the president made about recent violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Schieve added, "Now more than ever, it is time to unite our country, and I urge the President to take the opportunity to do so in our great city."
